World Food Equipment was founded in 1995. The company has been installing commercial walk-in coolers, walk-in freezers, and custom cold storage in Ontario for more than thirty years.

World Food Equipment is based in Mississauga, in the Greater Toronto Area, and serves Ontario from the GTA through Hamilton-Niagara, Kitchener-Waterloo, London, and Northern Ontario. Yes. WFE installs walk-in coolers, walk-in freezers, and custom cold storage anywhere in Ontario. GTA installs are run as standard same-week scheduling windows. Hamilton-Niagara, Kitchener-Waterloo, and London are recurring service regions. Northern Ontario installs (Sudbury and surrounding region) are scheduled as dedicated freight runs with the crew traveling to site.

No. Every panel set, every refrigeration unit commissioned, every electrical drop wired, and every drain line run is performed by the WFE in-house crew. We do not subcontract panel installation, refrigeration plant work, or electrical work. The same crew that builds the unit is the crew that handles warranty claims and post-install service. This is the single biggest operational difference between a WFE install and a broker-chain install where the work is handed through two or three subcontractors.

Two layers of licensing sit on every WFE install. Refrigeration commissioning is performed by 313A-licensed technicians on the WFE crew (313A is the Ontario refrigeration and air-conditioning systems mechanic license, held by individual tradespeople after a four-year apprenticeship). Electrical work is performed by WFE under our ESA-Licensed Electrical Contractor registration in Ontario, with licensed electricians on staff. Disconnects, line drops, and panel feeds are permitted and ESA inspected on every install where electrical work is in scope.

WFE installs and warranties Trenton, KeepRite, Copeland, Tecumseh, and Heatcraft refrigeration. The unit on any given build is selected based on the temperature profile, duty cycle, ambient conditions, and warranty terms that fit the application. New equipment carries a 1-year guarantee, with an optional manufacturer compressor warranty available up to 5 years (compressor only). We register every unit at commissioning and file warranty claims on the customer's behalf.

Yes. WFE files manufacturer warranty claims on the customer's behalf, runs the diagnostic visit when something fails inside the coverage window, and handles workmanship issues (panel seal, door alignment, line set) directly under our 1-year install warranty. Yes. WFE introduces customers to vetted Canadian equipment financing partners who specialize in commercial refrigeration. Typical terms run 12 to 60 months at fixed monthly payments, with approval in one to three business days for most applicants.
